Dragon Boat Festival, 28th May 2009

We celebrated Tuen Ng Festival at Stanley Beach today. Thousands of people swarmed the Beach to get a glimpse of the Dragon Boat Regatta, albeit the heavy downpours.

We boarded a junk along the race track to watch the competition. Despite the strong winds and choppy water, the paddlers were all in high spirit, trying their utmost to row to victory. Some of the oarsmen even put on their fancy dress costumes. I felt like I was attending a mini carnival.

After the race, we went to the Pub on the waterfront to continue the party.

I don't see a 'ghost' in your first picture lol.
Sounds fun! It's been so long since I celebrated Tuen Ng Festival! This was one of my favorite holiday when I was a child!
